I got out of bed at 1:47 pm today. It's DST so it's really like 12:47 pm. That doesn't make me feel any better about it. I was up all night with food poisoning. Again. As I crawled out of bed I sang 'up from the grave she arose.' I read online people with autoimmune issues are more susceptible to food poisoning. I imagine that's why I've gotten it three times in the last few months................. I finally crawled out of bed...only to make it to the couch. The Variety Children's Charity telethon is on today. Not so interesting fact you probably don't know about me: I've worked the telethon! Mostly what I remember about my time there is dancing on stage with Pat McManus and eating all the free bluebunny popsicles you can imagine. Oh and of course answering phones and raising money for a great cause.............. R and B are on their way home from grandma's. B got to spend the weekend there as R & I went to Weekend to Remember. (All except Sunday morning of it, that is.) It was good stuff....... I'm thinking I should use the quiet time to get back to work but I've been trying really hard to not work on Sundays. It's harder to do than it sounds. I am super behind on work though so today may be an exception to the rule...... There's a couple fun giveaways coming up on the Hickstionary. Hopefully I'll have the first one posted for you tomorrow! I should probably go finish my pictures for it....... I'm thinking about warm weather today. Are we really in another winter storm warning? B is going to go visit his aunt and it's supposed to be in the 80s. Anyone have any 12-18 month size shorts B can borrow? I hate to buy him any because I'm sure by this summer he'll be in the next size. And right now summer feels SO far away.......... The great news is March has definitely been 'in like a lion' so the weather for Easter should be awesome, right?..... And that's all I've got for now. I'm currently contemplating another nap. Yikes. Happy week, friends! Hopefully spring will be here soon!
updated.... 7:03 pm. My boys are home. I was glad B was happy to see me but once he saw Dakota my second in the spotlight came to a screeching halt.... 8:53 pm. I logged in so I could add some deep thoughts. I got distracted. For the life of me I can't think of what it was I wanted to add here. Back to watching The Bible I guess. (Are you watching?)
Welcome to the Hickstionary, a landing spot for all things H family.
I'm Heidi. He's Rusty. And together we have our beautiful babe, Beckett and a furry menace, Dakota.
I mostly use this space to brag about how awesome the kid is, whine about how naughty the dog is & share an occasional deep thought.
Thanks for hanging out with us as we figure out this [blessed] life!
